Frequently asked questions
What utilization should a pool route run at?
The planner does not pick a target for you. Many owners like to keep some slack for repairs, rain days and callbacks, so decide what buffer you are comfortable with and hire when you reach it rather than at 100 percent.
How do I find my real average drive time between stops?
Pull a few weeks of route history from your scheduling software or a mileage log, divide the total drive minutes by the number of stops, and use that average. Reordering stops by neighborhood is often the cheapest way to lower it.
Why is techs needed higher than my current tech count?
If your current pools exceed the weekly capacity of the crew, the tool rounds up to the next whole technician. That usually means routes are running long or stops are being shortened, and it is worth confirming with your actual finish times.
