Frequently asked questions
Why does the calculator divide by 4.33 visits instead of 4?
A year has 52 weeks and 12 months, so weekly service averages 52 divided by 12, which is about 4.33 visits per month. If you bill per visit or skip weeks in winter, change the number to match your schedule.
What should I use for the technician loaded hourly cost?
Use the hourly wage plus employer payroll taxes, workers comp and any benefits you pay. If you run the route yourself, enter what it would cost to hire someone to do it, because your time is not free.
Does this tell me my real profit per pool?
It shows gross profit per stop before overhead. To get closer to net profit, subtract your monthly overhead divided by the total number of stops you make in a month.
